Only Indian citizens can apply. For education, you need a Master's degree or an equivalent degree from a UGC-recognised university with at least 55 percent marks. Unless the UGC NET December 2026 notification says otherwise, the exam is a computer-based test with two papers in one sitting of three hours. Paper 1 has 50 questions and is the same for everyone.
